Hello, my name is Mike Pilley. I started Bakersfield Computer in 2004 with the interest of providing in-house support and services. In 2005, I was approached by an IT service group based out of the Pacific Northwest which has provided me with more connections to local work and experience than I could ever imagine. Around that same time, I also completed the Kern County Network for Children Leadership Development Training Program.
The combination of both these major life learning experiences has allowed me to find a new focus of working in our community, and committing myself to bringing more technology to Kern County.
My current work is in social services. I’m a GIS technician analyzing geographically-based child welfare data. In my second life, my current interests include helping our pet community, teaching technology, and bringing a Community Technology Center (CTC) to Bakersfield.
